Three Green Knights Advance to NCAA Outdoor Championship

DE PERE - St. Norbert College will send three women to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships later this week in Waverly, Iowa.
Junior Brittany Kozlowski will compete in the 800-meter run, junior Erin Artz qualified in both the 5,000- and 10,000-meter runs and freshman Kristina Herman advanced in the shot put.
Kozlowski is seeded third in the 800 with a time of 2:09.16. Kozlowski finished fifth in last year's NCAA outdoor 800 and placed fourth in the event at the 2016 NCAA indoor championship. The 800-meter preliminary heats are scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday and the championship is set for 3 p.m. Saturday at Wartburg College's Walston-Hoover Stadium.
Artz is seeded 18th in the 5,000-meter run and is seeded eighth in the 10,000-meter run. Artz qualified in the 5K with a time of 17:01.71 and advanced in the 10K with a time of 35:33.23. The 10,000-meter run is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Thursday and the 5,000-meter run is set for 4:25 p.m. Saturday.
Herman is seeded 19th in the shot put, qualifying with a distance of 44 feet 3 1/4 inches. The shot put preliminaries and finals are scheduled for Noon Friday.
