WAVERLY, Iowa - St. Norbert College junior Erin Artz claimed her first All-America honor by finishing in seventh place in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Wartburg College's Walston-Hoover Stadium.

Artz, who entered the event with the eighth-best time, turned in a time of 36:41.30 for her finish. Stevens Institute's Amy Regan won the event at 35:46.27, while Cornell College's Abrah Masterson was second in 36:16.87.

Two other women will compete Friday at the national meet. Freshman Kristina Herman will take part in the shot put starting at Noon. Junior Brittany Kozlowski will compete in the 800-meter run preliminaries at 6 p.m.

Artz will compete in the 5,000-meter run at 4:25 p.m. Saturday. If Kozlowski qualifies for the final in the 800-meter run, that race will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday.
