Herman Finishes 21st In Shot Put at NCAA Championship

WAVERLY, Iowa - St. Norbert College freshman Kristina Herman finished 21st in the shot put at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Wartburg College's Walston-Hoover Stadium.

Herman finished with a top throw of 40 feet 7 3/4 inches, a distance that was third-best among competing freshmen at the meet. Baldwin Wallace University's Kim Gallavan won the event with a distance of 47-9 3/4.

St. Norbert junior Brittany Kozlowski was scheduled to compete in the 800-meter run preliminaries but was scratched.

The lone St. Norbert female competing in Saturday's events is Erin Artz in the 5,000-meter run, which will go underway at 4:25 p.m.
