Green Knights Drop Two to Open 2016 Season

WINONA, Minn. - St. Norbert College opened the 2016 season with a pair of losses in the St. Mary's University Sugar Loaf Classic. The Green Knights lost to the host Cardinals 25-23, 25-22, 25-19 and then fell to No. 15-ranked UW-Stevens Point 25-18, 25-15, 25-6.

Halie Ferry led St. Norbert against St. Mary's with eight kills. Hannah Johnshoy added seven kills and Anika Johnson had five kills. Emily Rohloff had 15 assists while Anna Berghoefer totaled 10.

Aubree Antosch had 12 digs, while Johnson had two blocks. St. Norbert hit .093 with 30 kills and 20 errors in 107 attempts.

Against Stevens Point, St. Norbert had 28 hitting errors against 15 kills in 82 attempts. Ferry, Johnshoy and Ali Rueter all had three kills apiece. Rohloff had eight assists.

Antosch had 12 digs for the Green Knights.
