St. Norbert Romps Past Nationally Ranked Northern Michigan at Lake Superior State

KINCHELOE, Mich. -- St. Norbert College romped to the team title of the Lake Superior State University Chris Yanni Invitational, topping a nationally ranked NCAA Division II foe in the process.

The Green Knights finished with 25 points to win the team championship, placing 11 runners in the top 17 and 13 runners in the top 19 finishers. Northern Michigan University, ranked No. 8 in Division II and the ninth-place finisher at last year's national meet, finished second with 51 points.

Alma College's Kaitlyn Arnold won the 5-kilomter race with a time of 17 minutes 30 seconds, but St. Norbert dominated after that. Erin Artz placed second with a time of 17:49, while Lisa Baeten finished third with a time of 18:33.

Taylor Domro kept the pace with a fifth-place finish in 19:01, while Sarah Parbs was sixth in 19:06. Graceanne Tarsa was ninth in 19:25 and Abby Janto was right behind with virtually the same time to finish in tenth place. Gretchen Price rounded out the Green Knights' scoring with an 11th-place finish in 19:33.

St. Norbert claimed all six spots between 14th and 19th places, led by Clarissa Jauregui's 14th-place time of 19:43.
