Green Knights Fall In Overtime to Concordia-Wisconsin

MEQUON - St. Norbert College lost a 3-2 overtime decision to Concordia University Wisconsin in a non-conference game at Fitting Field.

The Green Knights (3-2) faced a nationally ranked foe for the third consecutive match, losing on a penalty kick in extra time to the unbeaten and No. 25-ranked Falcons (5-0).

Concordia was awarded a penalty kick at the 96:57 mark, which Dagoberto Diaz converted for the game-winning goal, and his second marker of the game.

Following a scoreless first half, St. Norbert opened the scoring when Tyler Kassube cashed in a free kick from 19 yards out at the 54:39 mark. Concordia answered just 51 seconds later on a goal by Diaz.

Marco Delbecchi then gave the Green Knights a 2-1 lead with a goal at 66:26, with Jon Gregory assisting. The Falcons would net the equalizer at 68:49 on an unassisted goal by Jake Swihart.

St. Norbert outshot Concordia 21-17 and held a 5-0 edge on corner kicks. Josh Koleske made five saves for the Green Knights. Killian Mielotz made six saves in the first half for Concordia, while Nate Yaeger had three stops the rest of the way.
