DE PERE - Tyler Kassube's goal 30 seconds into the match held up as the game-winning goal as St. Norbert College gained a 1-0 win over UW-Platteville in a non-conference match at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (5-2) got the early jump when Brandon DiOrio sent a cross to Kassube, whose header beat Platteville goalkeeper Nate Miller clean for the game's only goal.

St. Norbert outshot the Pioneers (6-2) by a 9-2 margin in the first half but couldn't augment its lead.

Platteville answered with increased pressure in the second half, outshooting the Green Knights 8-3, but could not find the equalizer.

St. Norbert finished with a 12-10 shots advantage, but Platteville had a 5-4 edge in corner kicks.

Josh Koleske turned away five shots for St. Norbert to earn his first collegiate shutout. Miller made six stops for Platteville.
