DE PERE - St. Norbert College jumped out to a 21-0 lead after the first quarter and cruised from there to claim a 35-21 win over Lake Forest College in a Midwest Conference game at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (2-2, 2-0 MWC) wasted little time taking control of the game, stopping the Foresters (3-2, 1-2 MWC) on the opening possession after an interception by Tyler Jensen. The Green Knights needed just five plays to score on a J.T. Crosby 5-yard touchdown run with 10:01 left in the period.

St. Norbert later got a stop on fourth down and scored three plays later on a 49-yard touchdown pass from Crosby to Samuel Staehling with 4:02 left in the quarter and a 14-0 edge.

Lake Forest then lost a fumble on a bad snap to give the Green Knights the ball at the Lake Forest 17. Three plays later Crosby found Brett Olson on a three-yard touchdown connection with 1:41 left in the period.

St. Norbert would score on the first play from scrimmage in the second quarter when Elijah Fort broke off a 56-yard touchdown run just nine seconds into the period. The score was negated when Lake Forest's Alex Pasiewicz returned the ensuing kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown to cut the Foresters' deficit to 28-7. Neither team would score the rest of the half.

Lake Forest came again on its first possession of the third quarter on a 25-yard touchdown run by Joey Valdivia with 11:45 left in the period, but the Foresters would get no closer entering the fourth quarter, trailing 28-14.

St. Norbert finished off a 13-play, 80-yard drive with 9:43 remaining on an 11-yard run by Crosby. The Foresters would score a consolation touchdown with 1:26 to go on a 1-yard run by Valdivia.

St. Norbert outgained Lake Forest 432-315 in total offense. Crosby completed 15 of 24 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed 17 times for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Fort finished with 108 yards rushing on 13 carries and one touchdown. Olson finished with seven receptions for 65 yards.

Valdivia finished with 118 yards rushing on 27 carries and two touchdowns to lead Lake Forest. Jagan Cleary completed 19 of 36 passes for 200 yards but was intercepted three times. Alex Pasiewicz caught nine passes for 98 yards.

Jensen finished with two interceptions to lead the St. Norbert defense. Ryan Grandlic had a team-high 10 tackles, while Ben Kornowski had four tackles-for-loss.
