St. Norbert Nets Two Non-Conference Wins

STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College earned a pair of non-conference dual wins with triumphs of 8-1 over UW-Stout and 9-0 over UW-Stevens Point.

The Green Knights (9-5) picked up a pair of doubles points against Stout. Katherine Ake and Katlyn Gahan beat Stout's Emma Pedersen and Jenna Welke 8-5 at No. 2, followed by an 8-2 win for Anna Gosz and Ashley Randazzo over Annie Sandry and Katie Kreibich.

St. Norbert won all six singles matches in straight sets. Elizabeth Manlick dispatched Emma Pedersen 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1, while Ake beat Kreibich 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2. Gosz gained a 6-1, 6-0 win over Katie Govin at No. 3.

Gahan beat Welke 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4, while Randazzo beat Gabe Kelch 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5. Meg Witt closed out the singles sweep with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Sandry at No. 6.

Against Stevens Point, Manlick and Witt beat Stevens Point's Katelyn Asfeld and Jordan Tyjeski 8-1 at No. 1. Gosz and Randazzo topped Frances Weiss and Kaylee Roberts by the same score at No. 3. Ake and Gahan earned an 8-4 win over Erin Lemmer and Abbey Johnson at No. 2.

The Green Knights swept the singles action again, with Maggie Krummel beating Elizabeth Wilichowski 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 singles. Randazzo defeated Johnson 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4.

Ake beat Asfeld 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1, with Gosz beating Lemmer in three sets 5-7, 6-2, 10-7. Gahan defeated Weiss 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3, while Witt beat Tyjeski 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5.
