Green Knights Suffer Setback at Grinnell

GRINNELL, Iowa - St. Norbert College couldn't hold off Grinnell College and dropped a 2-1 decision in a Midwest Conference match.

The Pioneers got the game-winning goal at the 66:17 mark on a goal by Simona Bambi. Grinnell held off the Green Knights in the last 23-plus minutes to gain the win.

St. Norbert tied the game at 1-1 on a goal by Aimee Conley at 58:44. It was Conley's second goal of the season. Enya Horgan was credited with the assist.

Grinnell scored the game's first goal on a score by Carolyn Silverman at 17:13.

St. Norbert outshot Grinnell 16-5 and had a 3-0 edge in corner kicks. Maddie Plinska made three saves for the Green Knights, while Regan Kasprak made eight stops for Grinnell.
