Behling Earns MWC Elite 20 Award as Green Knights Place Sixth at MWC Meet

BELOIT - St. Norbert College sophomore Ben Behling earned the 2016 Midwest Conference Elite 20 Award as the Green Knights placed sixth at the MWC Championship held at Beloit Club.

Behling, a sophomore from Marshfield (Columbus Catholic High School), earned the award given to the athlete competing at the championship with the highest grade point average.

St. Norbert finished in sixth place with 144 points. Grinnell College won the team title with 33 points, while Monmouth College was second with 83 points. Lawrence University's Josh Janusiak was the conference champion with a time of 25:43 in the 8-kilometer race.

Riley Boyce was St. Norbert's lone all-conference performer, placing 12th with a time of 26:46.

Jacob Dickman just missed out on All-MWC status with a 22nd-place finish with a time of 27:21. Behling placed 31st with a time of 27:48.

Jaxon Todd finished in 41st place overall with a time of 28:18, while Matt Holloway was one second behind in 42nd place. Andrew Hebbring was 46th overall in 28:27 and Jacob Wittmershaus was 49th overall in 28:34.
