DE PERE - St. Norbert College football senior running back Brad Boockmeier has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Division III Football Academic All-District VI team. Boockmeier, who was also an Academic All-District choice in football last season, advances for Academic All-America consideration after being one of two running backs chosen in District VI.

Boockmeier, a Green Bay native, possesses a 3.87 grade point average with a major in mathematics. He has 272 yards rushing on 82 carries with five touchdowns along with 10 receptions for 118 yards and four touchdowns. He was a second-team All-Midwest Conference selection in 2013, and was a first-team CoSIDA Academic All-America in track and field in 2016 and second-team CoSIDA Academic All-America in track and field in 2015. A teaching assistant in the St. Norbert Math Department, he is a Dean's List student.

To be eligible for national or district selection, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.0, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his current institution and be nominated by his sports information director. The Academic All-America team is selected after All-District teams are picked from eight geographic regions nationally. The Academic All-America team for football will be announced November 29.
