GALESBURG, Ill. - St. Norbert College scored late but it wasn't enough to force extra time as the Green Knights lost 2-1 to Knox College in a Midwest Conference Tournament semifinal match at Jorge Prats Field.

Knox (18-0-1) took a 1-0 lead in the first half when Jessica Petersen scored at the 30:05 mark. The Prairie Fire carried that lead into halftime.

Kayla Brown then scored what would be the eventual game-winning goal at 75:37. The Green Knights' Danielle Harris scored unassisted at 83:27, but St. Norbert (9-8-1) couldn't get the equalizer.

Shots were even at 13 apiece, while Knox had a 4-1 edge in corner kicks. Maddie Plinska made four saves for the Green Knights, while Sierra Daniger and Annie Gerdes combined to make five saves for the Prairie Fire.

Prior to the match, St. Norbert's Hanna Reinke was awarded with the MWC Elite 20 Award for women's soccer in 2016.
