Four Green Knights Earn All-MWC Mention

DE PERE -- St. Norbert College had four women's volleyball players earn honors when the All-Midwest Conference team was announced Friday at the Midwest Conference Tournament.

Senior middle blocker Anika Johnson and senior libero Aubree Antosch were first-team All-MWC selections, while sophomore outside hitter Halie Ferry was a second-team All-MWC choice. Freshman middle blocker Lexie Van Hiel was named MWC Newcomer of the Year.

Johnson, a Green Bay native, was hitting .316 on the season entering the MWC Tournament with 238 kills against 63 errors in 554 attempts. She also had 72 blocks with 80 digs and 11 service aces.

Antosch, a Mosinee native, earns her first first-team accolade after being named second-team All-MWC each of the last two seasons. Antosch had a team-high 406 digs entering the MWC Tournament, averaging 4.1 digs per set. She also had 22 service aces.

Ferry, a Green Bay native, was hitting .116 entering the MWC Tournament with 198 kills and 122 errors in 655 attempts. She had 230 digs with 26 blocks and a team-high 34 service aces.

Van Hiel, an Elgin, Ill., native, was hitting .246 prior to the MWC Tournament with 177 kills and 68 errors in 443 attempts. Van Hiel also owned a team-high 87 blocks.
