Five Named All-MWC; Prange Named MWC Newcomer of the Year

DE PERE - St. Norbert College's men's soccer team placed five players on the All-Midwest Conference Team, while freshman Ben Prange was named the league's Newcomer of the Year.

Prange was one of three first-team All-MWC selections, joining senior Tyler Kassube and junior Joe Spera. Senior Sam Lamers and freshman Josh Koleske were second-team All-MWC selections.

Prange, a Wauwatosa native, enters this weekend's NCAA Tournament with a MWC-high 12 goals along with four assists for 28 points, which is third in the league.

Kassube, an Appleton native, has a MWC-best 30 points on 11 goals and eight assists this season. It is Kassube's second consecutive first-team All-MWC honor and he was a second-team All-MWC choice in 2014.

Spera, a Wheaton, Ill., native, was one of St. Norbert's top defenders as the Green Knights outscored MWC opponents 30-10 and all opponents 51-18 so far this season. Spera had one goal for two points in 20 games.

Lamers, an Appleton native, is third on the team in scoring with four goals and five assists for 13 points. Lamers was a first-team All-MWC choice in 2014.

Koleske, an Appleton native, is 12-2-1 in goal this season with a 0.92 goals against average and .840 save percentage.

St. Norbert is 16-3-1 entering Saturday's NCAA Division III Tournament first-round game against Luther College in St. Paul, Minn.
