DE PERE - St. Norbert College gained its first Northern Collegiate Hockey Association win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Finlandia University at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (2-6, 1-4 NCHA) scored the game's only goal on a power-play opportunity late in the second period. Kylie Gazzolo scored her second goal of the season when she banged home a loose puck at the 18 minutes 31 seconds mark. Jessica Sherman was credited with an assist.

Finlandia had the game's only power-play chance in the third period and also had an extra attacker for the game's final 30 seconds, but couldn't net the equalizer.

St. Norbert outshot the Lions 41-6. Leigh Grall made all six saves for the Green Knights for her first shutout of the season and the seventh of her career. Annah Smiddy made 40 saves for Finlandia.

The Green Knights finished 1-for-4 on the power play while Finlandia was 0-for-5.
