Green Knights Stymied By Falcons

DE PERE - St. Norbert College dropped a 3-0 decision to UW-River Falls in a non-conference game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (3-9-1) held the No. 2-ranked Falcons (13-1) in check through a scoreless first period but River Falls scored two second-period goals to pull away.

Carly Moran got River Falls on the board with a goal at 5:08, and Dani Kocina followed at 11:36 of the frame for a two-goal edge.

Amy Auran added an empty-net goal with 2:03 remaining for the Falcons' final goal.

The game featured just one penalty - a minor tripping call in the second period. River Falls was 0-for-1 on the power play.

Angie Hall made 12 saves to get the shutout for River Falls. Leigh Grall made 27 saves for the Green Knights.
