GREEN BAY - A pair of late goals by A.J. Gale wasn't enough of a rally as St. Norbert College fell 4-3 to Oswego State University in the St. Norbert Thanksgiving Tournament at the Cornerstone Community Center.

The Green Knights, ranked No. 3 in the USCHO.com Poll, fell to 8-2 and lost consecutive games for the first time since November 2004. Oswego State improved to 7-2-1.

Gale's two scores came as the Green Knights tried to climb out of a 4-1 hole. Gale connected on scores at 12:42 and 15:52 of the third period, the latter a power-play score, to bring St. Norbert to within one. The Green Knights had solid pressure in the last two minutes of the game but couldn't connect on the equalizing score.

Oswego took a 1-0 lead after one period when Derrell Levy's shot short-hopped past St. Norbert goaltender Blake Bashor at the 10:09 mark.

The Green Knights pulled even at 1:08 of the second period on a Nick Tabisz 5-on-3 power-play goal from the faceoff circle. With St. Norbert still on the man advantage, a Green Knights' shot was deflected out of the offensive zone and caromed to Brad Dormiedy. Dormiedy set up Neil Musselwhite perfectly for the shorthanded score at 2:08.

The Lakers pulled ahead 4-1 with a pair of goals in the last five minutes of the second period. Garren Reisweber centered a perfect pass out of the corner to Mark Lozzi, who put it home at 14:56. Peter Magagna's shot rang in off the pipe for a power-play goal at 18:52.

St. Norbert had several good chances in the third period, when it outshot Oswego 16-5. But the Green Knights simply couldn't solve Lakers' netminder Chris Hyk, who made 31 saves.

St. Norbert was 2-for-8 on the power play, while Oswego State was 1-for-6. Bashor made 20 saves for the Green Knights.
