St. Norbert Opens Season In Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - St. Norbert College opened the 2017 indoor track and field season by participating in the University of Alabama-Birmingham Blazer and Vulcan invitationals at the Birmingham Crossplex Arena.

At the Blazer Invitational, competing against mostly NCAA Division I and II schools, St. Norbert placed three of the top six runners in the 5,000-meter run. Ben Behling was third in 16:50.06, while Sam Holt was fifth in 17:15.22 and Matt Holloway sixth at 17:29.30.

The St. Norbert distance medley relay placed fourth in a time of 12:28.14.

Max Schermacher sixth in the pole vault at 4.10 meters, while Travis Heschke was seventh in the triple jump at 12.03 meters.

Riley Boyce was eighth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:48.05.
