ADRIAN, Mich. - St. Norbert College became the first team to ever sweep a weekend series at Adrian College when it gained a 4-2 win over the Bulldogs in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Arrington Ice Arena.

The Green Knights (14-2-1, 10-1-1 NCHA), who won the series opener 3-1 on Friday, became the first team to take a pair of games from the Bulldogs (12-5-2, 11-3) in the same weekend at Arrington Ice Arena in Adrian's 10-year history. The four points moved St. Norbert, which has two games in hand, to within one point of Adrian in the overall league standings.

St. Norbert goaltender T.J. Black lifted the Green Knights to the win, making a whopping 45 saves as the Bulldogs held a 47-20 edge in shots on goal.

The Green Knights took the early lead when Noah Nelson scored at 11:07 of the first period in a four-on-four situation. St. Norbert would take its 1-0 lead into intermission.

St. Norbert pushed ahead by two goals with a goal by Tanner Froese at 15:29, but Adrian's Taylor McCloy answered 33 seconds later to bring the Bulldogs to within 2-1 at second intermission.

Adrian knotted the score 2-2 when Austin Hervey scored a shorthanded goal at 3:49 of the third period. St. Norbert would get the pivotal go-ahead goal with 9:55 remaining when Steven Phillips scored. The Green Knights' Jeremy Olinyk scored an empty-net goal with 52 seconds to go for the final margin.

Olinyk and Nelson had assists for two-point games, while Riley Christensen had two assists for a multi-point outing.

St. Norbert was 0-for-7 on the power play, while Adrian was 0-for-4. Kevin Entmaa made 16 stops for the Bulldogs.
