Green Knights Close Out Season With Win Over Marian

DE PERE - St. Norbert College wrapped up the 2016-17 season with a 2-0 win over Marian University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
Following a scoreless first period, Natasha Smith put the Green Knights ahead with a power-play goal at 4:01 of the second period. It was Smith's third goal of the season. Selena Stromer assisted.
The Green Knights picked up an insurance goal at 6:10 of the third period when Lexi Pyykkonen scored her first goal of the season. Rebecka Olsson assisted.
Marian had 1:25 of extra-attacker time at the end of the game but didn't score.
St. Norbert outshot Marian 26-19. Leigh Grall made all 19 saves to get the shutout for the Green Knights. Maddy Dixon made 24 saves for the Sabres.
The Green Knights were 1-for-3 on the power play, while Marian was 0-for-8.
