St. Norbert Closes Out Florida Trip With Two Wins

ORLANDO, Fla. - St. Norbert College finished its Florida trip with a 4-1 record following a pair of dual wins. The Green Knights defeated University of Scranton 6-3 and St. Mary's (Ind.) College 5-4.

The Green Knights (14-7) got one doubles points against Scranton, with Katherine Ake and Stephanie Doerfert beating Elyse Smilnak and Katherine Loughlin 8-2.

St. Norbert took five of the six singles matches. Elizabeth Manlick beat Julia Frattaroli 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1, followed by a 6-2, 6-3 win for Ashley Randazzo over Emily Machado at No. 3. Witt beat Emilia Jakubek 4-6, 6-4, 11-9 at No. 4.

Doerfert topped Smilnak 2-6, 6-2, 10-7 at No. 5, while Maggie Krummel bested Sakira Fussner 6-1, 7-6 (7-1).

Against St. Mary's, St. Norbert got two of the three doubles points. Randazzo and Anna Gosz beat Meaghan Flynn and Maddie Minaudo 8-3 at No. 2. Ake and Doefert topped Kaity Venters and Elizabeth Preister 8-5 at No. 3.

Three singles matches went three sets, with St. Norbert winning two. Manlick beat Monica Davy 4-6, 6-4, 10-5 at No. 1. Ake defeated Kelsey Kopf 6-1, 4-6, 10-8 at No. 2. Witt upended Minaudo 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
