Green Knights Swept at Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - St. Norbert College dropped both ends of a Midwest Conference doubleheader against Illinois College by scores of 8-0 and 4-1.

The Green Knights (13-13, 11-3 MWC) dropped into a three-way tie atop of the MWC with Cornell College and Illinois College with four games remaining.

St. Norbert was shutout by Illinois College pitcher Mariah Hedges, who allowed four hits with no walks and three strikeouts. The Lady Blues scored four runs in the second inning, two runs in the third inning and two runs in the sixth inning.

Emma Molenhouse took the loss for St. Norbert, allowing nine hits with one strikeout.

Illinois College won the second game when it snapped a 1-1 tie with three runs in the sixth inning. Jackie Reilly's two-run triple broke the tie, while Shelby Koehler had an RBI double.

St. Norbert scored its only run in the fourth inning on Carley Frauenhoff's RBI single.

The Green Knights finished with four hits, with no multi-hit games. Sydney Pfotenhauer took the loss, allowing eight hits and one earned run.
