Quality Field Squares Off in Nicolet Bank Holiday Tournament

DE PERE - The St. Norbert College Nicolet National Bank Holiday Tournament to be held Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 29-30 at Schuldes Sports Center in De Pere.

UW-Platteville, ranked No. 1 in this week's D3hoops.com Top 25, will face Carthage in the tourney opener Monday at 5 p.m. The Pioneers are 10-0 and also own an exhibition win over Bradley this season. Carthage is 6-2 and features standout sophomore guard Steve Djurickovic, who averages 32.2 points per game.

St. Norbert, off to its best start in 13 years at 6-1, looks to move to 7-1 for the first time since 1983-84 when it faces the College of St. Scholastica (4-4) in the second game Monday at 7 p.m.

The Monday losers play at 5 p.m. Tuesday, while Monday's winners play at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Admission to the tournament is free.
