St. Norbert Wins 17 Events at Lawrence Invitational

APPLETON - St. Norbert College won had 17 event champions as the Green Knights cruised to the team championship of the Lawrence University Invitational at Whiting Field.

The Green Knights finished with 290 points, well ahead of runner-up Lawrence's 123 points.

Maddie LeBrun won the 200-meter dash in 27.15 seconds, while Hailey Ruplinger won the 400-meter dash in 1:02.27. Haley Joosten claimed the 800-meter run in 2:15.74.

Abby Janto picked up a victory in the 1,500-meter run in 5:01.26, while Elle Dannecker won the 5,000-meter run in 20:57.95.

Peyton McCauley won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:08.07, while Malgorzata Waz won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:46.24.

Both St. Norbert relays won. Mekenzie Mattes, LeBrun, Erin Lang and Haidyn Mueller won the 4x100-meter relay in 51.05 seconds. LeBrun, Ruplinger, Megan Cibulka and Taylor Domro won the 4x400-meter relay in 4:09.63.

Samantha Morateck won the high jump at 1.60 meters and also won the long jump at 4.80 meters. Grace Mickelson won the pole vault at 2.97 meters, while Teagan Wernicke won the triple jump at 10.70 meters.

Kristina Herman finished in first place in the shot put at 12.72 meters, while Mallory Nickerson won the discus at 40.38 meters. Savanna Smith captured the hammer throw at 40.24 meters, while Erin Lang won the javelin throw at 36.37 meters.
