Green Knights Fall In Overtime at Carthage

KENOSHA - St. Norbert College rallied from a two-goal deficit to force overtime but eventually succumbed 4-3 to Carthage College in a non-conference game at Art Keller Field.
The Lady Reds (3-2) scored the game-winning goal at the 99:04 mark on Kelsey Dejno's strike.
Carthage jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first nine minutes of the game. Maggie Washelesky scored at 6:37 and Erin Otto followed at 8:22 for a two-goal edge. The Green Knights answered immediately with a penalty kick goal by Madalyn Sanderfoot at 11:37 and a Dana Schwab goal at 12:43. The Lady Reds would take a 3-2 lead into halftime on a goal by Dejno at 24:34.
The Green Knights would score the second half's only goal on another goal by Sanderfoot, her fourth of the year. Sanderfoot's goal came at 57:35.
Monica Stephans and Danielle Harris recorded assists for the Green Knights.
Carthage outshot St. Norbert 17-11 and had a big 11-1 edge in corner kicks. Ally Magiera made six saves for the Green Knights.
