Early Deficit Too Much For St. Norbert at Carroll

WAUKESHA - St. Norbert College fell behind by three goals in the first half and couldn't recover in a 5-1 non-conference loss to Carroll University at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights found themselves trailing 2-0 in the early going when Delaney Pruitt scored at the 3:41 mark and Rachel Van Sluys added a marker 44 seconds later. St. Norbert cut into the deficit when Dana Schwab scored off an Aimee Conley assist at 10:30.

Carroll would tack on a pair of goals before halftime on goals by Sabrina Georgeff at 21:55 and Pruitt at 41:03. Van Sluys would add the Pioneers' final goal with a score at 65:02.

Carroll outshot St. Norbert 15-3 and held a 9-2 edge on corner kicks. Ally Magiera made eight saves for St. Norbert.
