St. Norbert Splits Pair of Conference Matches

BELOIT - St. Norbert College split a pair of Midwest Conference dual matches, losing 8-1 to Lake Forest College before bouncing back to top Beloit College 9-0.

St. Norbert (6-3, 5-1 MWC) handily swept the doubles points against Beloit. Meg Witt and Jordyn Lawatsch topped Hayden Lamphere and Meghan Davis 8-0 at No., 1, followed by Stephanie Doerfert and Claire Hetzel topping Emma Hahn and Rose Williams 8-1 at No. 2. Sarah Bradow and Maddie Uhlenbrauck defeated Jaime Kelly and Gaby Watson 8-0 at No. 3.

Lawatsch blanked Lamphere 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Witt topped Davis 7-5, 6-0 at No. 2, while Hetzel beat Hahn 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3. Doerfert claimed a 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Williams, while Gina Kerscher defeated Jaime Kelly 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5. Bradow picked up a 6-1, 6-3 win over Watson at No. 6.

Against Lake Forest, Kerscher earned St. Norbert's lone win with a 6-0, 2-6, 10-3 win over Samantha Russell at No. 6 singles.
