Green Knights Top Vikings For Fifth Consecutive Win

APPLETON - St. Norbert College won its fifth consecutive match behind an 8-0 win over Lawrence University in a Midwest Conference match at Banta Bowl.

The Green Knights (8-4, 4-0 MWC) scored three goals in about a six-minute stretch early in the first half to wrest command. Sadie Jung scored at the 12:43 mark, followed by goals from Monica Stephans at 16:13 and Jung again at 18:38. Those goals held up going into halftime for a 3-0 lead.

Jung recorded a hat trick with a goal just 41 seconds into the second half, good for her fifth of the season. Dana Schwab scored at 52:26, while Morgan Edge scored at 54:09 for her first goal of the season. Schwab scored again - her eighth of the year - at 67:48. Tori Renfus closed out the scoring with her first goal of the season by finding the net at 74:33.

Edge had two assists, while Schwab, Stephans and Jung all added assists to in addition to their goals.

St. Norbert outshot Lawrence 39-5 and held a 9-1 edge in corner kicks. Ally Magiera made two saves for record her sixth shutout of the season for the Green Knights.
