St. Norbert Grinds Past Knox

GALESBURG, Ill. - St. Norbert College battled through three hard-fought sets to sweep Knox College in a Midwest Conference match at Memorial Gym.

The Green Knights (5-13, 2-1 MWC) topped the Prairie Fire 30-28, 30-25, 26-24.

St. Norbert faced set point for Knox three times late in the first set, including at 28-27. The Prairie Fire then had five set points in the second set but the Green Knights answered each time, including three straight points to win the set after again trailing 28-27. Knox again had set point at 24-23 but St. Norbert had three consecutive points to clinch the match.

The Green Knights hit .193 for the match, getting 54 kills against 26 errors in 145 attempts. Halie Ferry led the Green Knights with 18 kills, while Brooke Siebert added 13 kills. Emily Rohloff had 21 assists, while Anna Berghoefer added 16 assists.

Jaisah Lee topped the St. Norbert defense with 15 digs, while Siebert had 13 digs. Lee added four service aces.

Knox finished with a .208 hitting percentage, with Jeanette Peebles posting a team-high eight kills.
