Green Knights Survive Five Sets With Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - St. Norbert College won for the second time in as many days with a 3-2 win over Illinois College in a Midwest Conference match at Sherman Gym. The Green Knights tipped the Lady Blues 25-27, 25-15, 21-25, 25-14, 15-13.

St. Norbert (6-13, 3-1 MWC) got a big afternoon from Halie Ferry, who pounded 24 kills in a whopping 69 attempts to lead the offense. Lexie Van Hiel added 16 kills against one error in 31 attempts. Brooke Siebert added 14 kills. Emily Rohloff had 28 assists, while Anna Berghoefer added 25.

The Green Knights hit .236, posting 70 kills against 21 errors in 208 attempts.

Jaisah Lee led the back row with 27 digs. Ferry added 16 digs, Rohloff 15, Berghoefer 13 and Siebert and Maddy Miller had 12 apiece. Hanna Strohm finished with five blocks.

Illinois College hit .129 and was led by Ali Pankey's 16 kills.
