DE PERE - St. Norbert College got a hat trick from Dana Schwab en route to a 5-2 win over Cornell College in a Midwest Conference match at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (11-4-1, 6-0-1 MWC) kept their hold on first place in the MWC after scoring three goals in the first 12 minutes of the match.

Schwab finished a crossing pass from Madalyn Sanderfoot just 4:01 into the game. Schwab then completed a shot from out front to finish off a nice passing combination from Sanderfoot and Morgan Edge at 10:41. Sanderfoot then put the Green Knights ahead 3-0 after Schwab sent her a cross at 11:26.

Cornell's Clara Garcia scored directly off a corner kick at 40:49, but the Green Knights got a goal from Ellie Lochner with Morgan Kelly assisting at 43:22 to take a 4-1 lead into halftime.

Schwab then cashed in a penalty kick at 51:41 to give her her third goal of the match and 12th of the season. Maddie Perna scored a consolation goal for the Rams at 88:56.

St. Norbert outshot Cornell 20-6 and had a 6-2 edge in corner kicks. Ally Magiera made three saves for the Green Knights, while McKenna Lacy made one stop in just over nine minutes of relief.
