St. Norbert Tips UW-Eau Claire In Five Sets

EAU CLAIRE - St. Norbert College extended its season-best winning streak to five matches with a pulsating 3-2 win over UW-Eau Claire in a non-conference match at McPhee Physical Education Center.

The Green Knights (9-13) topped the Blugolds 20-25, 25-23, 26-24, 12-25, 15-8 to ruin Eau Claire's Senior Night.

St. Norbert won the second and third sets after being tied at 22-22 and 24-24, respectively. The Green Knights then jumped out to leads of 4-1, 7-2 and 10-4 in the fifth set to close out the victory. St. Norbert had seven kills without an error in 15 attempts in the decisive fifth set.

The Green Knights hit .237 for the match, with 49 kills and 16 errors in 140 attempts. Halie Ferry posted a team-high 15 kills, while Brooke Siebert added 12 kills and Lexie Van Hiel nine. Emily Rohloff had 23 assists and Anna Berghoefer 20.

Jaisah Lee was the only Green Knights to reach double digits in digs with 19. Van Hiel totaled six blocks while Hanna Strohm finished with five.

Eau Claire (12-9) hit .299, posting a whopping 76 kills but had 27 errors in 164 attempts.
