St. Norbert Upended By Lake Forest

GALESBURG, Ill. - St. Norbert College fell behind by two goals early and couldn't climb out of the early hole in a 2-1 loss to Lake Forest College in a semifinal match of the Midwest Conference Tournament at Knox College's Jorge Prats Field.

The Green Knights (14-4-2) trailed early when Lake Forest's Gaston Aubert scored at 6:03. The Foresters then went up two goals when Lucas Geib scored at 17:56.

St. Norbert halved its deficit, scoring at 27:01 on Ben Prange's 17th goal of the season. Anthony Pineda was credited with the assist.

St. Norbert outshot the Foresters 11-3 in the second half, but couldn't net the equalizer.

The Green Knights held a 21-9 shots edge in the game. Josh Koleske, who was named the 2017 MWC Elite 20 award recipient for men's soccer prior to the match, made one save for St. Norbert.
