St. Norbert Falls to Cornell in MWC Title Match

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - St. Norbert College faced Cornell College in the championship match of the Midwest Conference Tournament for the sixth consecutive year, with this round going to the host Rams, who claimed a 3-1 win at Small Multi-Sport Center.

The Rams (25-7) clinched the MWC's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament with a 25-19, 23-25, 25-14, 25-22 win over the Green Knights, who saw their season end 13-16.

St. Norbert hit .130 in the match, getting 43 kills on 23 errors in 154 attempts. Halie Ferry had a match-high 18 kills, while Brooke Siebert added 10. Anna Berghoefer had a team-high 20 assists, while Emily Rohloff added 17.

Jaisah Lee finished with a match-high 20 digs, while Rohloff added 13 digs and Ferry 11. Lexie Van Hiel had six blocks and Ferry four blocks.

Cornell hit .210, with 56 kills and 23 errors in 157 attempts. Nicole Ciari had a team-high 16 kills.
