Green Knights Place Eighth at NCAA Midwest Regional

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - St. Norbert College finished in eighth place at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional hosted by Augustana College at Saukie Golf Course.

The Green Knights totaled 271 points to place eighth out of 37 teams. UW-Eau Claire was the regional champion with 59 points, while Washington University was second with 75 points. The University of Chicago's Khia Kurtenbach won the 6,000-meter rcae in a time of 20:41.3 to lead a field of 263 contestants.

It marked the second consecutive year St. Norbert has finished in the top 10 at the Midwest Regional, a first in program history. The Green Knights' eighth-place showing was their second best ever behind last season's sixth-place finish.

Taylor Domro led St. Norbert by finishing 19th overall in 21:31.8 and was named All-Midwest Region after the meet. Domro could receive an individual berth to the NCAA Division III Championship next weekend, with those spots announced Sunday afternoon.

Sarah Parbs finished 52nd in 22:16.3, while Graceanne Tarsa was 57th in 22:23.3. Gretchen Price finished 71st overall with a time of 22:40.1

Abby Janto turned in a 75th-place showing in 22:47.7, while Tori Nelsen was 92nd in 23:02.0. Alyssa Wegner rounded out the St. Norbert contingent with a 134th-place finish in 23:43.4.
