DE PERE - St. Norbert College scored three third-period goals to earn a hard-fought 3-1 win over Augsburg University in a non-conference game at Cornerstone Community Center.

The Green Knights (10-0-1), ranked No. 1 in the USCHO.com and D3hockey.com Division III polls, trailed the No. 7-rated Auggies 1-0 after two periods. St. Norbert scored three times in a span of 5 minutes 2 seconds for its first win when trailing after two periods since a 4-1 win at Aurora University on Nov. 13, 2015.

Augsburg (8-3), which lost to St. Norbert in the NCAA Division III Tournament quarterfinal round in each of the last two seasons, scored first when Nate Flynn scored a power-play goal at 2:56 of the second period - moments before the advantage expired.

That goal would hold up all the way into the third period until William Yates' bounding puck got past Auggies' netminder Nick Schmit to square the game 1-1 at 5:42. Tyler Andrews then scored on a shot from the point at 8:24 to put the Green Knights ahead. Tanner Froese's wrister snuck just inside the post at 10:44 to give St. Norbert an insurance goal.

Luke Karakas and Dominic Sacco had two assists apiece for the Green Knights.

T.J. Black made several difficult saves to keep the Green Knights in the game, turning away 24 shots. Schmit made 32 saves for Augsburg, which was outshot 35-25.

St. Norbert was 0-for-6 on the power play, while Augsburg was 1-for-3.
