Green Knights Stalemate With UW-Eau Claire

DE PERE - St. Norbert College skated to a 1-1 overtime tie with nationally ranked UW-Eau Claire in a non-conference game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (4-4-3) cashed in on a power-play chance in the second period, when KJ Wallace scored her second goal of the season. Rebecka Olsson and Rachael Goodrow assisted with the goal scored at 2:52.

The Blugolds (5-3-2), ranked No. 10 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll, found the equalizer when Morgan Zirbel scored at 15:01 of the second period.

Eau Claire would followed with three power-play chances, and then St. Norbert would follow with three power-play opportunities, but neither team could pull ahead. The Blugolds had power-play chances at the end of the third period and into overtime, as well as the last 1:01 of the extra period, but were kept off the scoreboard.

Eau Claire outshot St. Norbert 30-18. Leigh Grall made 29 saves for the Green Knights, while Erin Connolly made 17 stops for the Blugolds.

St. Norbert was 1-for-5 on the power play, while Eau Claire was 0-for-7.
