MILWAUKEE - St. Norbert College outshot Milwaukee School of Engineering by a nearly 2-to-1 margin but came up short in a 2-1 loss in a non-conference game at Kern Center.

The Green Knights (11-1-1), ranked No. 1 in the D3hockey.com and USCHO.com Division III polls, outshot the Raiders (8-4-1) 36-19 but couldn't hold an early one-goal lead.

St. Norbert scored first, getting a goal on Roman Uchyn's fifth goal of the season at the 17:27 mark of the first period. Riley Christensen and Sean Campbell assisted.

The Raiders knotted the score at 1-1 when Brett Wagner scored at 2:02 of the second period. The Green Knights had a chance to respond when they went on a major power play at the 5-minute mark, but MSOE would get two minutes of 4-on-4 time after drawing a holding penalty moments after a St. Norbert goal was waved off due to goaltender interference.

MSOE had a strong opening to the third period and capitalized when Chris Hinrichs scored 91 seconds into the stanza when his shot from the point got past a screened goaltender T.J. Black.

St. Norbert had 1:03 of extra-attacker time at the end of the game but couldn't net the equalizer.

Black made 17 saves for the Green Knights, while Zach Woodman made 35 saves for MSOE. St. Norbert was 0-for-3 on the power play, while MSOE was 0-for-2.
