DE PERE - St. Norbert College played a solid defensive battle but couldn't find the back of the net in a 1-0 loss to nationally ranked Adrian College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (6-9-3, 6-3-2 NCHA) found themselves going down to the wire against the No. 6-ranked Bulldogs (12-5-1, 9-1-1).

Following a scoreless first period, Adrian broke through with a goal by Brooke Schembri at 11:24 of the second period. That goal would hold up the rest of the way, as St. Norbert finished 0-for-5 on the power play.

The Green Knights had an extra attacker on for the last 40 seconds of the game, but couldn't force overtime.

Adrian outshot St. Norbert 23-18. Kate Turner made 18 saves for the Bulldogs, while Leigh Grall made 22 stops for the Green Knights.

Adrian was 0-for-2 on the power play.
