St. Norbert Drops Series Opener to Foresters

DE PERE - St. Norbert College couldn't slow down the Lake Forest College power play in a 4-1 loss in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

Lake Forest finished 3-for-5 on the power play, including a pair of third-period goals.

Following a scoreless first period, Lake Forest scored at 6:34 of the second period when Lexi Morgan scored on the power play. The Foresters boosted their lead to 2-0 on a Julie Unterseher marker at 12:18.

The Foresters pulled away with two power-play goals in the third period from Jordan Trapp coming at 3:56 and 14:32. St. Norbert would score its lone goal on a Kenna Farrey score at 17:36, with Lauren Michael and Libby Barbato assisting.

Lake Forest outshot St. Norbert 27-21. Leigh Grall made 23 saves for the Green Knights, while Jacque Rogers made 20 stops for the Foresters.

The Green Knights were 0-for-3 on the power play.
