Green Knights Can't Hold Lead Against Lake Forest

DE PERE - St. Norbert College scored the game's first goal but couldn't hold the lead in a 2-1 loss to Lake Forest College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

Selena Stromer got things going for the Green Knights with a goal at 10:30 of the first period, her sixth marker of the season. Jessica Schlaff and Lexi Pyykkonen were credited with assists.

Lake Forest would answer just before the end of the first period with a goal by Annie Dalton at 19:07 to knot the score at 1-1.

The Foresters would pull ahead at 4:52 of the second period on a goal by Jordan Trapp. That marker would hold up the rest of the way for Lake Forest, with St. Norbert coming up empty in 1:22 of extra-attacker time at the end of the game.

Lake Forest outshot St. Norbert 30-17. Brianna Kelly made 28 saves for the Green Knights, while Jacque Rogers made 16 stops for the Foresters.

Lake Forest was 0-for-4 on the power play, while St. Norbert was 0-for-3.
