St. Norbert Routs Knox

DE PERE - St. Norbert College made "Connie Tilley Day" a victorious one with a 95-38 win over Knox College in a Midwest Conference women's basketball game at Schuldes Sports Center.

Following the game, the college named the playing court after Tilley, who has amassed 499 career wins in 32 years of coaching at St. Norbert.

St. Norbert improved to 11-4 overall and 7-1 in the Midwest Conference. Knox dropped to 4-12 and 1-8.

The outcome of the game was never in doubt, with the Green Knights taking a 12-0 lead just over 5 minutes into the game. St. Norbert pushed out to a 27-2 bulge with 9:36 left in the first half. The Green Knights settled on a 49-20 lead at halftime.

St. Norbert shot 54.8 percent from the floor, making 34 of 62 field goals. The Green Knights were also 21-for-27 at the free-throw line. Twelve different players scored for St. Norbert, with just two in double figures. Denise Heuser had 19 points in 16 minutes of action, while Jamie Kuhl had 18 points in just 13 minutes.

Knox shot 32.6 percent from the floor, making 15 of 46 shots, and had 33 turnovrs. Kate Moon had 10 points to lead the Prairie Fire.
