St. Norbert Wins Twice In Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. - St. Norbert College opened its spring break trip to Florida with a pair of non-conference wins, posting a 9-0 win over Delaware Valley University and a 5-4 triumph over Agnes Scott College on clay courts at the USTA National Campus.

St. Norbert (12-6) won four of the six singles matches against Agnes Scott to win the dual. The Green Knights also won all nine matches against Delaware Valley relatively handily.

Katy Hicks won a pair of 6-1, 6-0 decisions at No. 6 singles over Delaware Valley's Erin Volov and Agnes Scott's Jacy Pippin. Sofie Koppmann beat Delaware Valley's Choloe Dennerlein 6-1, 6-1 and Agnes Scott's Jasmine Keiler 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5 singles. Meg Witt turned in a 7-5, 6-1 win over the Aggies' Natalie Hoffman at No. 1 and followed with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Agnes Scott's Lizza Engsberg. Maddie Uhlenbrauck beat Delaware Valley's Melanie Mayhew 6-0, 6-0 and Agnes Scott's Anastasia Bennett 5-7, 6-0, 10-6 at No. 3.

Uhlenbrauck and Hicks won a pair of matches at No. 3 doubles, beating Delaware Valley's Allie Vaccaro and Laken Henry 8-0 and Agnes Scott's Keiler and Felicia Jacques 8-3.

Against Delaware Valley, Lauren Paulson beat Vaccaro 6-4, 7-5 at No. 2 singles and Claire Hetzel beat Henry 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. Witt and Paulson beat Hoffman and Tess Hansler 8-1 at No. 1 doubles, while Hetzel and Koppmann topped Mayhew and Volov 8-2 at No. 2.
