Green Knights Place Fourth in Whitewater

WHITEWATER - St. Norbert College's women's track and field team finished fourth out of 10 teams at the UW-Whitewater Invitational on Saturday.

St. Norbert tallied 60 points. UW-Whitewater won the meet scoring 160.50 points. Carthage finished second with 154 points, while Carroll posted 91 points for third place.

Marisa Trakanovich finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.93. Trakanovich also place second in the 55-meter hurdles, finishing in 9.33 seconds. Anne Mueller finished close behind Trakanovich with a time of 9.57 to place third.

Kelsey Timm posted a time of 11:18.44, good for a fourth-place finish in the 3,000-meter run.

St. Norbert's 4x200-meter relay team finished third with a finishing time of 1:57.71.

Two school records fell at the Gladstein Invitational held at Indiana University. Jenny Scherer set a school record with a third-place time of 17:31.37 in the 5,000-meter run, also qualifying provisionally for the NCAA Division III meet. Ashley Graybill's third-place time of 2:14.08 in the 800-meter run also set a school record and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III national meet. Graybill also placed fifth with a time of 59.13 seconds in the 400-meter run.
