Schneider's 400-Meter Win Leads St. Norbert Thinclads

STEVENS POINT - Dann Schneider captured the championship of the 400-meter dash to lead St. Norbert College at UW-Stevens Point's Eastbay Invitational.

St. Norbert placed eight among 10 teams with 29 points. Host UW-Stevens Point won the meet with 205 points, while UW-Eau Claire was second with 111 points.

Schneider handily won the 400 with a time of 49.82 seconds. Schneider finished over a full second ahead of runner-up Andrew Jacobs of Stevens Point, whose time was 50.98.

St. Norbert's distance medley relay team set a school-record time of 10:38.34. The foursome of Aaron Roden, Jordan Gobert, John Barrett and Mackenzie Laska finished fifth.

Brent Schreiber placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 6.65 meters. Paul Leeman was fifth in the high jump at 1.88 meters, while Jordan Gobert tied for sixth in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.20 seconds.

St. Norbert's 4x200-meter relay was fifth with a time of 1:38.52.
