Schneider Qualifies for Finals of Indoor 400 at NCAA Nationals

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - St. Norbert College sophomore Dann Schneider advanced to the finals of the 400-meter dash championship at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship at Rose-Hulman Institute's Hulbert Arena.

Schneider, running in the first heat, finished second in his heat to automatically advance to the eight-man finals. Schneider ran a race timed in 49.38 seconds to finish second to Thiel College's Alex Eaton's 48.79.

There are two heats in the finals. Schneider will run in the first heat and has the sixth-best time among the final eight competitors. McMurry University's Hanneus Ollison has the top qualifying time of 48.61 seconds.

The finals will be run Saturday at 3:05 p.m. EDT.
