KISSIMMEE, Fla. - St. Norbert College totaled one run and 10 hits in its season-opening doubleheader at the Rebel Games.

The Green Knights fell to a pair of New Jersey Athletic Conference foes by a 9-1 count to William Paterson University and 2-0 to Ramapo College in eight innings.

St. Norbert couldn't generate any offense for Jessica Kropp in the nightcap. The Green Knights best scoring chance came in the fourth inning when Kristin Zimmerman and Kayla Krueger singled with one out. But a strikeout and groundout ended the threat.

The Roadrunners scored their two runs in the top of the eighth inning on a Tiffany Fischer RBI single and an RBI double by Jamie Chalkley.

Deanna Giordano scattered five hits with six strikeouts to pick up the win for Ramapo. Kropp took the hard-luck loss with a five-hitter, no walks and four strikeouts. Krueger was 2-for-3 for St. Norbert.

Against William Paterson, five St. Norbert errors led to four unearned runs and a 6-0 lead for the Pioneers after three innings. Krueger had an RBI triple in the fourth for St. Norbert, while Kim Sawyer was 2-for-2. Krueger took the loss for the Green Knights.

In the entire doubleheader, there were no walks issued.
