St. Norbert Blanks Westminster

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - St. Norbert College improved to 8-8 on the season with a 9-0 win over Westminster (Pa.) College in a non-conference dual meet.

The Green Knights dominated the Titans, losing only nine games in the nine matches.

Derek Harrington breezed past Fred Romeo 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. Eric Koppmann topped Mark Drabick 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3, while Nate Tackaberry beat Scott Lawrence 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4. Jordan Bauer (No. 1) and Matt Schmitz (No. 6) both had 6-0, 6-2 wins over Stefan Hadricky and J.D. Eicher, respectively. Ethan Kadow had a 6-2, 6-0 win over Nate Dodd at No. 5. Schmitz improved to 8-4 in singles action this year, while Kadow is now 5-4.

Bauer and Mike Hyrczyk blanked Hadricky and Drabick at No. 1 doubles, while Koppmann and Schmitz beat Dodd and Eicher 8-0 at No. 3. Tackaberry and Harrington beat Lawrence and Romeo 8-1 at No. 2.

St. Norbert will have two matches Wednesday in Hilton Head, squaring off against Greenville College and Spring Arbor University.
