KISSIMMEE, Fla. - St. Norbert College sophomore pitcher Kayla Krueger tossed a shutout for the second consecutive day to lead the Green Knights to a 6-0 win over Anderson (Ind.) University in their final contest at the Rebel Spring Games. St. Norbert lost its first game of the day to Spring Arbor University 6-2.

St. Norbert, which finished the trip 2-8 against very strong competition, is idle until April 1 when it travels to face defending NCAA Division III champion UW-Eau Claire.

Krueger, who beat Millikin 1-0 in eight innings the previous day, allowed three hits with no walks and one strikeout to top the Ravens. Anderson had runners at second and third with two outs in the second inning but didn't score. Krueger retired the last 11 hitters she faced.

St. Norbert scored three times in the third and three more times in the fifth. Stephanie Ortiz had a two-run double in the third inning, and Krueger doubled home Ortiz for the third run. In the fifth, Brieanne Oehlke stroked a three-run home run after an Anderson error kept the inning alive to put the game out of reach.

Krueger had the lone multi-hit game for St. Norbert against Anderson, going 2-for-3.

Spring Arbor scored three times each in the first and fourth innings to post the win. St. Norbert got RBI doubles from Kristin Zimmerman in the second and sixth inning for its two runs. Zimmerman finished the game 3-for-3 with two runs batted in.

Jessica Kropp took the loss for St. Norbert, allowing seven runs with three walks and three strikeouts.
